WebOn Monday, July 9, we found a day to head up to the Adirondacks and hike Phelps Mountain. Phelps is the 32nd highest peak of the Adirondack 46 high peaks with an elevation of 4,160 feet. The weather was slated for the mid-80s and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. WebFollow the trail up to Tabletop. A little less than a mile of hiking will bring you to the summit which is smaller and wooded, but still offers great views of the Great Range and Mount Marcy, New York's tallest mountain. After a snack or lunch, spending time on top and photographing the view, head back down to the split for Phelps.
