WebAug 4, 2024 · Fishermen’s Memorial State Park is a convenient base camp sort of campground, located in the middle of the nearby attractions of Mystic CT, Newport RI, and Block Island RI. It is not a campground where I would go to just hang out and relax. In fact, when we were not out site seeing, we were watching movies in our camper. WebArea 1 is your best choice. Sites are all paved and level. Area 2 is paved but sites are on a pretty steep grade. Area 3 is for tent camping. Area 4 is all dirt with trees hanging over a lot of the sites. We camped at Fishermen's State Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
