WebI keep seeing trans men and women who go by he/him, she/her pronouns being referred to exclusively as they by cis people. It feels like it because they don’t want to use the correct pronouns but don’t want to be “offensive”. Going with they is fine if you don’t know someone’s pronouns. WebCisgender is the opposite of transgender—and it’s widely accepted now that trans includes non-binary. Cisgender has nothing to do with sexual preference, so cis people can be gay or straight.
