Bittern council
Bitterne is a ward within the unitary authority of Southampton, returning three councillors to the city council. As well as Bitterne itself, the Bitterne ward represents the neighbouring suburb of Thornhill and had a combined population of 13,800 at the 2011 census. As of May 2024, the three councillors representing the ward are Terry Streets, Elliot Prior and Matthew Magee (Conservatives).
